Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

Humane Theory is operated by AIGEA, the Artificial Intelligence Governance & Ethics Agency. This policy explains, plainly, what happens to your data when you use this site and its tools.

1. The short version

Our calculators (AI ROI, AI-ACT Comp) run entirely in your browser. We never see your raw answers. When a tool offers an AI-written summary, only the already-calculated, non-identifying results are sent out to generate that text, and nothing is stored afterward. We don't use tracking cookies or analytics. The only personal data we hold is what you choose to type into the contact form, and only to reply to you.

2. Data we do not collect

3. How the AI-written summaries work

Some tools offer an extra, optional layer: a short written analysis generated by a third-party AI language model. To produce it, we send only the final calculated numbers (for example, an ROI percentage, an industry category, or a readiness score) to that model through our own server, purely to have it write a few sentences of commentary. We do not send your raw form answers, your name, or your company name for this purpose, and we do not store the request or the response afterward. That processing happens through OpenRouter and the underlying AI providers it routes to; see their own terms for how they handle a request in transit.

4. The contact form

If you fill in the contact form, we receive what you typed (name, email, company, reason for contact, and your message) solely to read it and reply to you. We do not sell this information, share it with advertisers, or use it to build a marketing profile. We keep it only as long as reasonably needed to handle your inquiry.

5. Hosting and infrastructure

This site is hosted on standard cloud infrastructure (currently Vercel). Like any web request, your browser and IP address are visible to that infrastructure at a technical level as part of normal internet routing; we do not separately log or analyze this for tracking purposes.

6. Your rights

If you are in the EU/EEA, the UK, or a jurisdiction with similar protections, you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you (limited, in practice, to whatever you've sent us via the contact form), correct it, or ask us to delete it. Reach out using the contact details below and we'll handle it directly, since we don't run a self-service data system.

7. Children's privacy

This site is intended for business use and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to this policy

If how we handle data changes in a meaningful way, we'll update this page and the date at the top.

9. Contact

Questions about this policy, or a request about your data, can be sent to info@aigea.org.
